Removing the heads of a
2015 Ford F-150
Here is Preston, one of our techs.
The truck came in with a misfire on cylinder 7. Upon inspection, we identified a common issue with these engines: intake valve collapse. We recommended removing both cylinder heads and replacing all the intake valves to prevent further problems. After completing the repair, the engine ran flawlessly, and the client was extremely satisfied with the results.
There is evidence suggesting that certain engines are prone to intake valve issues, which can lead to misfires in specific cylinders, such as cylinder 7. Some Ford F150 models have been reported to experience misfires due to burnt intake valves, particularly affecting cylinder 7.
